Does anyone else frequently get emails from the Utah athletic department. I bought my sugar bowl tickets from them a few years ago and I have been getting spam from them since. I have placed them in my spam folder, asked to be taken off the list, etc. I get emails probably once per month. It is as if they want to rub it into our faces. Not sure if this is just me or if others have experienced it. They come from different addresses so it gets past my spam blocker. It has cut down from what it used to be but I still get some.
I receive ute mail too. I generally just delete it, without looking at what it is.
I buy Auburn season tickets when the Iron Bowl is there and they hassled me for a while....best part was 2 or 3 of their emails had BLATANT grammatical and spelling errors....it was worth the annoyance to be able to print and show off emails from Barn Atletics telling people to "support you're team" and such...
Likelihood is that there was a checkbox somewhere along the checkout process that signed you up for the ticket office's email list, so it's technically not spam since in some roundabout way you gave them consent even though you probably weren't aware of it. By law there has to be an unsubscribe link in their emails (usually at the bottom). If you click that it should take you off their list. Replying to emails asking to be unsubscribed doesn't always work because a lot of times those are no-reply type addresses. They're not rubbing it in your face, though. Their list doesn't know the difference between you and anyone else who buys Utah tickets so they just assume you're a Utah fan like most of the people on their list.
I have tried to unsubscribe and can't get off their mailing list
I get them too. Have asked to unsubscribe, but have not been taken off their list.
Same here. I always hit the unsubscribe button, yet I continue to get emails from them...very annoying!
I get them from Ole Miss all the time.
