Padron has always been my favorite brand (non cuban obviously). Solid sticks on the low end and great sticks on the high end. That being said, I'm smoking the Macanudo Vintage 1997 Maduro.

A little south Alabama kush. Oh, wait a minute. What?

Camacho triple muduro or any carlos tarono. Tarono virtuoso or casa tarono are great.
You might an excellent choice.
BTW, to the Perdomo talk. I don't really care for their cigars. It is a taste thing i.e. they are great for many, not for me. But Nick Perdomo is one awesome guy. Very nice and outgoing. And I met his son and he is also great. As mentioned he goes to UA and will one day take over the business.
Thanks for the advice DEH, I have a new favorite and believe it to be as satisfying as most Cubans I have had. My only negative is it didn't have a cedar lined tin; I like to date them with the score...I just wrote it on the butt and slid it inside one of my others in the UT beatdown collection.
Had a Padron for first time this summer in Destin. Believe it was 1964. Loved it.
Montecristo Saturday night.
