I'd probably have Louisville in the top 10 over Texas. Would have had LSU at 2 before they had 10 juniors leave. But I still would never have them below friggin Oregon State. Alabama and Oregon are the most stable programs in the country right now. I hope we play them this year or somewhere down the line. I don't think Ohio State is the 3rd best team but they will be ranked somewhere around there when the polls are released.
Oregon St is returning just about everyone from this year's team. Don't overlook them, IMO. The PAC12 doesn't get a ton of love from this area of the country, but it is probably easily the 2nd best conference in football at this time. LSU has 3 losses on the schedule, IMO and that's not counting TCU at the beginning of the year, which will be tough game with so many new players on defense. TCU will have their QB back this year, along with a few players that sat out this season suspended if they decided to stay with the program as well.
Texas is a ?? mark, IMO. I am banking on them getting something positive from the QB position this season....finally. Also, the Big12 is in a transition year at some of the top programs (OU, Kansas St, and WVU....although WVU was disappointing this year) which could make this the year for Texas.
I also like Louisville very much and they will be a team trending this season I am sure. I just see it being tougher for a program like that when they actually have pressure that comes with expectations.
