If bama was to have white helmets, I would only want to see white with crimson numbers and a crimson stripe. Didn't they wear white helmets at one point? Late fifties/early sixties??
Yes. Some of Bryant's teams wore white helmets. That's why I laugh at people who want to stay with Crimson helmets forever because of tradition. Tradition started long before any of us ever saw a Bama game.
YEP...and I would LOVE us to wear that for a game here and there. Maybe once every few years or so. With the all white road uni....
In a Minnesota Gopher game this year the M came off it was on ESPN for the Not So Top Ten
I like it. Could care less if they wore it Saturday.
If you had to be initiated to be a Bama Fan the first criteria would be to denounce uniform changes. Of any kind. I love it. It's what sets us apart. But we have changed them slightly before (numbers on sleeves and names on back of jerseys) so it's been done without the earth swallowing us up.
RTR my brethren.
Thought so, nice pics. White helmets with the white road unis would be awesome.
Here it is. Looks shopped. But, apparently there is another angle that shows it and a vid. Haven't been able to find them yet.
I wouldn't mind if they wore them once a year, but hope it doesn't become a regular thing.
If it was legit that we were going white helmets, I'd really prefer we win saturday and break the white helmets out against the golden domers. Now that would be the perfect time to use a throwback look if they decided they wanted to go that direction.
Roll Tide all across the USA!!!!
We need to start those out with Western Carolina or Aubrun next year
Folks asking about pics so 1. Near Skagway AK 2. Ketchikan AK 3. Space Needle in Seattle. This summer was a great trip.
If they do it, they better win.
Hate the cheap looking A. I don't care one way or the other normally but I'd prefer not do it for this game.

brown helmets are part of our tradition as well, you dont see anyone calling for those..(G)
Be careful with that one....the way the NFL is doing the throwback uni's every year now, its just a matter of time until some College league tries it too. I've seen 2 teams wearing ugly brown helmets - new up to date ones of course - but suppose to be in the image of the old leather helmets
Here's our uni's through the years for those who might not have seen this one.

Leave our uniforms be.... I'm all about some tradition!!
We wore white helmets as recently as 1984. See link below and click on SEC (left side of page) to see Alabama's full helmet history. Pretty interesting site imo.
An 'atlas' of football helmets
I ama fan of a white helmet but not with the script A. For some reason i never really liked the script A. White helmets with the old logo would be cool for a game or alll crimson helmets, no lettering or numbers. I personally wish we had the A that are on the lettermen jackets instead of the script A. I really like that look. I also liked the pro combat pants we wore a few years back.
Also, if this was a real helmet I highly doubt the script A would would have a trademark symbol..... JMO, but who am I to say
As long as Bama wins I don't care what color they wear.
The white helmet (with crimson numerals) is a tradition for Bama. It's not some concocted gimmick. We arent adding some color of Gray like WVU, Oregon and Ok st. And we aren't busting out black uniforms.
I'd rather see us do something with the white helmet with numbers only, sometime early in the season. Not now.
