Why are these idiots on ESPN making such a big deal about the team's hotel? I don't usually get all bent out of shape about what the talking heads say, and I'm not one of those who think the media hates Bama, but this is annoying the crap out of me. There's a segment on Sports Center about it.

You'd think ND was staying at the Do Drop Inn.
“You are not entitled to your opinion. You are entitled to your informed opinion. No one is entitled to be ignorant.”
Just goes to show how watched these guys are down there. Anyone know if the team has a curfew?
I guess they think a bunch of our players will be dancing with pittbull sat night or something .....
It's an interesting hotel choice compared to ND's, no denying that...staying in the middle of South Beach is a viable topic for discussion, seeing as how every other facet of the game has been discussed ad nauseum.
Yes, it's the death stare of Hell from Saban if they screw up.
South Beach in not near as tempting to get in trouble as the French Quarter....imo
I would find it hard to believe the team does not have some type of curfew. No Flame
The difference, for me anyway, is probably how familiar you are with the 2 scenes.
I'm probably a bad example b/c I lived it up to the best of my abilities, in both places, but I took it to an extra level when I was on South Beach, as it was my first and still only time having been there.
Of course, I wasn't there to win a NCG either. These kids busted their asses to get back to this game again this year, I'd be shocked if any of them screwed it up for themselves now that they are there.
Shows a tremendous amount of respect & trust for our players & their ability to make sound decisions, by our staff, in my opinion.
You said it: ESPN
The 'E' in ESPN stands for entertainment. Pretty self explanatory.
Have you ever been to South Beach? I have been to both and South Beach side walks are packed 24/7. I tell you no lie. I guess they are both about the same but SB has enough to temp the players.
I disagree. I don't know of a Krystal's on south beach. Could be wrong tho (G)

I can't wait to see this hotel! It must be the haven of ill repute!
you ever been to South Beach?
I have stayed in the hotel before when Saban's teams are there. He has people on every floor who check the players in the rooms at night and monitor the hallways for activity. There's no getting into trouble unless it's on their free-time. I just hope we show up with our hair on fire ready to play!
Boy did we ever live it up back in the day! Hope all is well, my friend.
Saban is a genius....he knew that by picking this hotel, all the talking heads would start saying that our team was unfocused, unmotivated, etc. And that in turn would only motivate and cause our team to focus even moreso on the ultimate goal. The man is a genius.
