For this type of game?!
Cold, late, students heading to the bars early.
Not that it's justifiable.

Pretty sure those are the visitors sections.
Really pisses me off....when I was at UA we sucked balls but the student section was always full.
I'd love to have the opportunity to buy season tickets for any seat at BDS. Like a lot of you I'm on the waiting list. Hate to see empty seats.
You did have an opportunity. Entire season ticket packages were for sale on StubHub at not a very significant markup.
I was in one of those seats tonight and it was absolutely freezing. They were full at kickoff but emptied at half time and honestly I didn't blame them.

I went to a ravens game a few years back and stood in the upper deck because my seat was so full of snow I couldn't open it. Those people should sell their tickets if they aren't gonna stay the whole game cause its a tad uncomfortable.
Bunch of pussies...lol.
I sat in the stands, in terrible seats (because that is all we could afford), freezing our butts off, wind burned... WITH MY 9 year old DAUGHTER.... Who NEVER complained!
Sure, the students should have showed up better... But I am starting to think these wide screen TVs and big leather chairs are making our fan base as soft as Auburn's secondary (you can also substitute West Virginia, Oregon, or Baylor's)...
You should not be allowed to complain about attendence on our message board if you were not at the game!
Get off your butts NANCY!!!!
I think if you could find a ticket at an affordable price more of us who are complaining would be there. We complain mostly about the students who don't even realize how fortunate they are who on a weekly bases do not show up for games. Also living half way across the country doesn't help lol.
Hey bc bama, way to catch the *u score in that picture. Lol!!
I'll complain all I want. I'd love to be able to drop my career responsibilities to travel 400+ miles one way, drop several hundred bucks in doing so, and make a flying trip back just to get to enjoy a game. There is a bit of "taking things for granted" going on in these threads. While I agree that college should be fun and not necessarily all about the books, I'll never understand why staying at a game that you get tickets to, which aren't guaranteed beyond those years as a student, isn't considered part of the fun.
You're missing the point here. And I did buy several tickets this year but none of them were face value. The point is... Never mind if you didn't get it the first time.
Roll Tide Forever....No matter what!
One thing that could be done to help keep students there is to figure out a better way for them to get in and get a seat...I'm out of school now but I remember lining up at the gate 4 hrs before the game, getting in 2 1/2 hrs early and waiting, and then finally get the game....after sitting there for 7/8 hrs and it being very cold or very hot you do want to leave at the end of the 3rd when your beating western Carolina by 40....if they fixed that somehow I think you would see students stay longer
We should fill it up for every game! Do your part to be a Champion!
We have a lot of spoiled fans these days, plain and simple. I saw people packing it up when we went up 21-0. All day I heard complaining about the number of late kickoffs this year, the lack of "good home games", and the how cold it was. There were 4 empty seats next to us for this game. I'm kinda surprised because I remember fans who were there in the worst of times.
Living out of state is a better argument than the expense. I am a Dave Ramsey, work 2 jobs so my wife can stay home and home school type of guy... I NEVER pay over face value, because there are tickets available except for Auburn (2 years ago) and LSU. Students are ALWAYS selling their tickets as well.
What KILLS me is the opposing fans who travel in to town, without tickets, just for a chance to watch their favorite team play Saban and Bama play in Bryant Denny.
There is NO DOUBT our fan base, as a whole, is getting complacent. I know many of you are going to argue this point, but if you are on this board you pay to be here so I am guessing you are doing your part. But the men, couples, and families that were your average fans are now staying home and watching on TV. This is called the diminishing return on value and SABAN HATES IT, and you should too.....
