A portion of our fan base seems to have become so consumed with Auburn's season that they don't seem to enjoy the unbelievable success we are having. Auburn has always been the laughing stock of the state so it really shouldn't surprise anyone about what's going on over there.
Because they exist...
Because I like a good laugh. I'm not obsessed with them, but I enjoy reading and hearing about their downfall. I can enjoy Bama's success and *U's failure all at the same time. RTR!!
They weren't the "laughing stock of the state" when they were on a six year winning streak over us.
They are traditionally a top 25 program.
Every bit of success and failure they have directly effects us. We only worry about what we can control, but other things play a role in what we do.
We live every day surround by their delusional fans that think they are better than us, and its very fun when reality and their delusion wreck into each other.
They have two mascots.
They think they are God's chosen people... and blame Satan for losing.
They keep me from allowing my children to wear cute clothes because of the auburn color scheme. (I don't want people to think they are being raised to be pathetic)
I can go on if you would like....

I have the mental capacity to be able to enjoy both.
"Show class, have pride, and display character. If you do, winning takes care of itself." -Coach Bryant
Exactly. Sorry the OP cant multitask, but personally making fun of AU doesn't detract from my enjoyment of Bama's great run at all. Part of the fun of being on top is watching your rivals suffer.
There are such things as stupid questions and this is one. Ask yourself, why do Red Socks fans care about how The Yankees do, or Ohio St. and Michigan, or Duke and UNC? What do all of these have in common you may ask? They are Rivals. All rival fans care about how their rival is doing it is that simple. When Michigan sucks Ohio St. fans love it and rub it in their face.
I live 15 min from Auburn... I'm loving every minute of this dumpster fire. I feel like i'm going around with a gas can these days, lol.
Stuff like this from their ignorant, delusional fans is why I care...to watch them suffer through having to watch that pile of crap they believe in and love so much, as they say in their retarded little creed. The infuriating thing to me is that they actually believe this stuff.
IF we change coaches I don't claim to know who would be the best fit. I was in Destin watching AU/Clemson in Buster's when a table of Walmart uat fans came in and sat close to us. On the other screen they were showing saban getting off the team bus and my daughter (AU Soph) salaamed the screen, provoking, "Y'all just wish you had him" from the typical 4-tooth acroos the way. My sweet daughter told him in no uncertain terms that saban is a great coach, but would never have even been considered for hc at AU because he's an arrogant a--hole and that is not who we are. My point is that Petrino should never be considered if/when we have to have a h.c. change because he would not represent who Auburn is. For those of you who have never read/don't live by The Auburn Creed I suggest you do so. Bobby Petrino should never be considered for any position at Auburn. The argument that, "They all do it," or, "He just got caught," rings hollow when you think about it. My education and my Auburn mean too much to me to see us simply sell out who we are only for victories. Before you down-vote please know that I am fortunate enough to be a 1977 grad, a scholarship donor and a member of the Samford Society. Victories mean a lot, but let's not become uat and have them mean everything, the only thing.

Because Nick said we work 365 days a year to dominate them. That includes in cyberspace, retweeting, posting, etc. DO YOUR JOB.
Something smells bad on the plains.
Simply put: they have Notre Dame arrogance with Vanderbilt tradition.
This is what I live for Bama playing for another NC and the hope of au going 1-11. Only thing better would be if they were 0-12 which they would be if not for a OT win against the yellow school buses. I am ecstatic, hope they never win another game, EVER.
I don't really belive there are such things as stupid questions. Just stupid people asking questions!
What is the Auburn creed? Give me a break! Scary.
For me, it is about classlessness.
Good sportsmanship is important. Georgia fans have it for the most part and when they have beaten us in the past I can handle it because they tend to be classy. Auburn and their fans have NEVER had that and probably never will. They had to buy a national championship. They have been cheating badly for about 20 years and so far have gotten away with it. I think they are just reaping what they have sewed for 20 years. Talking about God out of one side of their mouth while they pay players behind the back is twisted and hypocritical. I struggle badly with containing myself this year with all the garbage they have done. I actually feel sorry for RF for getting talked or payed into playing for them.
Great analogy - IF Vandy win's on saturday, they will hold the W/L advantage over the Tigers.. one could argue Vandy has a better historical program??? hahahha
Good Lord, here's another one;
Petrino? I am amazed that his name comes up for any football program except possibly Miami (and I hope they can recover their reputation). Our recruits and their families are hanging on to their commitments because of integrity, honesty and Family, not just winning. I am not looking for a Sunday School teacher but there must be someone out there that does not snub every code of decency and the Auburn Creed. We need a coach that does not set and example that it is OK to cheat on your family, friends and dump on your employers, lie to the players and families that have entrusted their children to you for 4 or 5 years to shape their lives and guide them toward their dreams. Who would want a man that would shuffle university and public dollars to a young girl to stroke his ego. I would not send my child to a school that had administrators that had such low standards. He won some games and a Sugar Bowl. Is that worth what happened this year and what will take 4 or 5 years to recover. If it is about dollars and winning, I am not sure Ark. got their monies worth. You may not expect the same code of ethics from a $50,000 to $75,000 faculty member but for a few million a year, the university has a right to expect someone with higher moral standards as a role model to the players and high profile representative of the
I exhausted my supply of upvotes on this thread. Will come back tomorrow to finish the job.

I AGREE!!!!! We are the front runners of the college football world!!! Why are we consuming ourselve with someone that's not a factor to us!!! My thing is: if u acknowledge them it makes them feel worthy!!
Petrino would be the perfect match for Auburn. Their characters match.
I love watching Bama win, but watching au's current trainwreck makes it even sweeter.
Chill out brother. It's OK to "enjoy" whats going on in both programs.
