for his comments about Auburn when Jeffrey Lee accuses Alabama of cheating in order to get Brent Calloway in print and nobody says a thing? Don't get it.
I guess because he implicated that Alabama pays with boosters as well.
Being a former player, he is held to a higher standard than a two bit hack like JLee.
JLee got slammed too. In fact, he ended up looking like a bigger dumbass then he did before (didn't think was possible). As for JC, implying that we would have paid as well definitely didn't help.
God, give me patience today. If given strength I may beat someone to death.

Agree. U just cant compare John Copland with Jeffrey Lee on any level whatsoever. JC comments were odd to say the least because it insisted that we pay, but got outbid. When JC was here it was just a different time. I think our boosters were light years more involved n recruiting back then than they r now. In fact, I truly believe coach wiped em off from contact.
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.”
The reason he got slammed is because he sounds like JL. You don't make those statements in the media unless you have proof, he sounded just like every other whiny ass fan base when a recruit signs elsewhere.
$100 handshakes are given everywhere. Bags full of cash, jobs, houses, etc are a different story.
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 2 Cor 10:4
Exactly. If you're going to say another team is cheating, you need to have proof. Otherwise it will just sound like sour grapes and you'll look like an idiot. Like Jeff Lee.
John Copeland can say anything he wants in my book, he got a little carried away in the moment.....I'll never forget the '92 Sugar Bowl.......Roll Tide.
Isnt John Copeland somehow affiliated with Rivals? Or am I thinking of someone else?
Regardless of who he is. & I have a tremendous amount of respect for Mr. Copeland. He is still on of my Top 5 favorite player's that I've actually got to see. Some things are better left unsaid. Couldn't be any more true than in this instance imo. Why draw more attention to the hatred of this rivalry than it already has? & now the "eyes & ears" of the NCAA will once again be fixated on the state of Alabama I'm sure. Just makes very little sense to me. SMH

Being an All American and winning a national championship automatically brings you credibility in sniffing out a player being paid? Interesting.
I know Cope really well, you have to understand that he loves being the devil's advocate and has said he was just stirring the pot on their show. It's not going to amount to anything.
Not every former player should have a microphone.
I think its funny how Scab ran to T-Town on the word of a barn crazed cable guy & he rips JC for saying the barn paid for a player.
agreed. He's constantly saying stuff that makes me cringe, lol. Love the guy though!

Is it me or does Alabama have the only former player base that will slam their former team?? Jay Barker and John Copeland are on my S list. I'm beginning to forget this 92 team...
You just don't give retards like Geoff Leigh any ammo.
JC is someone I don't care to listen to honestly.

" If it feels good, you ain't doing it right!"
There was a pretty good dust up between Urban Meyer and former UF QB Shane Matthews for comments Matthews made on his radio show.
Of course Urban Meyer is a drama queen, so he probably got his feelings hurt about nothing.
The funny thing about it is how hollow CUM's comments seem now...
"I’m also going to talk about loyalty with our former athletes. Some are welcome, some aren’t. …We want former Gators to come back, but loyalty’s a two-way street. If you want to be critical of a player on our team or a coach on our team you can buy a ticket for seat 37F, you’re not welcome back in the football office. You’re either a Gator or you’re not a Gator. It’s real simple. For those who are not Gators keep buying tickets, critique, but if you’re a real Gator, get to know our players. Let’s enjoy the greatest era not just football of Gator athletics."
John Copeland being very Barkley like. Charles regularly states his knowledge of the "au way".
I say preach on Copeland. I feel the same way.
