"You don't always get what you want, but you always get what you deserve"
Julio left early, and Duron Carter was lost due to the fluke situation. So we've recruited well (too well in the case of Jones lol) and had back luck with Carter.
What we're really missing is a number one receiver. Maze is a very good number two or number three receiver, but he's not a number one. Hanks has made some clutch catches, but he hasn't been targeted in the way I expected. He's a great role-player, but not an ideal number one or two.
Kenny Bell and Kevin Norwood have shown some flashes but have been very inconsistent; but they're both only sophomores, and if they end up playing consistently at their highest level they'll be a good asset for us in the future.
DeAndrew White has likewise been very consistent, and the pre-season raving about him probably set my expectations for him too high. He's just a freshman, and his explosiveness is *obvious*. I believe White will end up being a very good number two or number three for us--a guy who can really stretch the field and will have a high YPC average with a lot of explosive and big plays (15-18 YPC), but he's just not at that level right now. He likewise isn't a number one though.

could it also be because we run pretty basic routes? I dont remember the last time i saw our receivers run a double move or hitch and go.
Julio's just don't happen every year.
