job, are the Rams looking to get rid of him? I don't keep up with the NFL, but it seems odd that he would leave them for the au gig. I could see it if he was a former college coach just giving the nfl a try, but hasn't he been coachig in the nfl for some time now? I also know that fisher's son plays for au, so is that where alot of the talk is coming from? Just trying to guage if it is a possibility or a pipe dream that alot of people are holding on to.
Pipe dream. People in the St. Louis area love Fisher.
Pipe Dream... Barely over a 0% chance this would ever happen. Fisher is loved in St.Louis and he is a solid NFL coach.
OK, I was wondering if he was on shaky ground in St. Louis. If that is the case, then I agree it's all about pipes.
I think we're looking at this the wrong way. We should totally help perpetuate that rumor. Build it up like its true, get their fans all worked up like Fisher would actual help unclog that toilet. It would only crush their spirits even more when whatever nobody is actually hired.
as a rams fan i would hate to have to go from loving our first legit coach in years to immediately hating him
Roll Tide to Her
I wouldn't think he would leave St. Louis, he makes 7 million a year and has final say on personnel. Also he is not known for jumping ship. Spent 16 seasons with the Titans.

Lol no way
Na, Na! You guys got it all wrong. It's a done deal, he just can't announce it until after the season. (Wink, wink)
He is not going to auburn. They are under investigation, the evidence against them particularly Trooper Taylor is overwhelming, and he has complete control of an NFL franchise in a city that loves him. Who trade all of that for the dumpster fire at auburn? Right now, Petrino and auburn are a match made in heaven or hell depending on how you look at it.
Because they think they can literally hand pick anyone they want. Everyone wants to come recruit against Saban and play in the SEC West with a cloud of NCAA sanctions hanging over their head. Yeah, seems totally plausible.
Not only does he have final say over personnel, he has the haul of 1st round picks they got this year by trading their pick to the redskins to build the franchise with.

no to mention les miles as well...barners will be lucky to get a charlie strong type.
Fisher waited for years to come back to the NFL. I doubt he would consider coming to college, because he had plenty of chances while he was semi-retired
Jeff closed on a house in St. Louis two weeks ago. He isn't going anywhere.
