TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Junior Jasmine Robinson scored 14 of her 26 points in overtime to lead the Crimson Tide women’s basketball team to an 88-83 victory over North Texas on Monday in Foster Auditorium. With the triple-overtime victory, Alabama improves to 4-0, while the loss drops the Mean Green to 0-3 on the season.
Robinson also had a team-high 13 rebounds for the first double-double of her career. She was joined by sophomore Kaneisha Horn, who finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds, and sophomore Daisha Simmons, who added 14 points and 11 boards. Junior Shafontaye Myers also recorded her fourth-straight game in double figures with 22 points.
Alabama returns to the court on Sunday, Nov. 25, when it welcomes Southeastern Louisiana to Foster Auditorium. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT. Tickets are on sale and can be purchased on RollTide.com or by phone by calling 1-877-TIDETIX (843-3849).

Simmons, transfer from Rutgers, is the real deal and best player on the team.
I want to get excited about them but its hard to envisioned this team to be more than "below average" for the SEC. Need a couple of more good transfers, not getting the good ones from high school recruiting.
Wow...the ladies are MUCH improved this year, it seems.
Fun basketball season for the men and the women ahead, I think!

Sounds like Wendell's got the program on auto pilot. Contract extension?
Simmons is good and is an SEC caliber player. Other than her there is not much improvement this year. The big thing I've noticed is that we play selfish basketball. Many times last night the team would come down court, make one pass, and a player would take a contested and bad shot. This is how North Texas got back in the game. If this type of play continues, the results will be the same as last year. I want this team to be successful, but there need to be some attitude adjustments about sharing the ball.
