After signing day that tipped the Feds off. They must have tapped some phones knowing the life event that was going to take place on signing day. Either that or he told the wrong person that was his son on tv.
yep...would be interesting to find out.
1960 Les Paul
That would be pretty ironic that he got caught bragging about his kid, the same one he shot when Reuben was a baby.
Karma, you pay for your sins.
I believe in God, but I also believe in karma too.... Look at the barn this year, thats nothing but karma!
The price of victory is high, but so are the rewards.
I fear we will be told how it happened more than we care to hear over the next 4 years by our friends at CBS
You are right about that but any level headed person wouldn't see this as a negative reflection on Reuben or the university. I know what you are thinking though they will probably try to spin it.
I expect it to be like it was with Ingram. Kid has no control over the situation but Verne and the guys make sure to bring it up until we are all sick of hearing it.
Me too. And I wish they'd be more respectful toward Rueben and his mom. I can't imagine how painful this has been for them. It's sure been a lesson in not passing judgement on a person. I can't imagine walking in his or his Mom's shoes for the past sixteen years. I think it's too much to expect CBS to not milk it for all it's worth, but I sure hope they will let it go for Rueben's sake.
I don't think there can be any coincidence in the timing of his arrest. You know whomever was chasing him, was waiting for something to surface around the time of his son signing his LOI. It could be something around contacting him to congratulate him or maybe he surfaced to follow the events? Heck, maybe he felt his son could help him in some ways - it wouldn't be the first time a parent tried riding with a child once the child started to make something of themselves???
Like you guys said - More will most likely come out in time. Especially those times it has nothing to do with...games. PARENTS - everywhere should learn from these actions - We always force our children to pay for our mistakes. Burdens they don't deserve or asked for.
