we are playing for back to back titles and 3 of last 4,but yet last year we coildnt get a big time def.lineman and now this year, these guys are not one bit interested in us,robert n.,lawson, adams and liner will probably stick with aubs, then linebackers r.foster not interested, but yet they would rather go to powers like auburn,clemson,s.caronlina.i mean saban is a great recruiter we know that ,but jus these guys havin zero interest is what blows my mind.
Ohhh boy....here we goooo!
You lost me when you used the words "powers" and "auburn" in the same sentence.
You lost me when you called Auburn, Clemson, South Carolina powers.
"My next stop will not be another school but retirement to Lake Burton in north Georgia"
guess we had the same thoughts
Great minds think alike, my friend.
Our coaches are straight up with these recruits.. They tell them about the "process" and our players tell the recruits just how hard the work is.. Not everyone wants to do that for 4-5 years.. Just part of the game
yes sir, Happy New Year!
He lost me way before that.
Zero interest is stretching it a lot. However, there could be several reasonswhy we aren't signing a ton of 5* D-linemen. The main one being that our D-linemen don't have dominating sack numbers due to scheme. In the 3-4 the D-linemen are usually asked to hold the point and allow the linebackers to make plays. However, IMO this mis-leading b/c our Jack linebacker mostly lines up as a D-end and usually is where most of our sacks come from.
Are you serious with this? I think it is a safe bet that Liner signs with Alabama. Darius Paige is also committed to Alabama. Over the past 2 years we signed Korren Kirven, Dalvin Tomlinson, Jeoffrey Pagan, D.J. Pettway, LaMichael Fanning, and Darren Lake. If you think AU, Clemson, and South Carolina are powers, then I just do not know what to tell you.

Methinks there's some discussion over 3-4 d we use and how it doesn't help lineman get gaudy stats - teams need something to use against us and that's the best argument - "go there and u will free up space for someone else to make a tackle - come here and u make the tackle"
thank you, thank you, thank you

My first thought when reading the OP was that it was a troll. Looking back at his past posts I can see he is not, but saying "zero interest" seems pretty extreme. Every one of those guys except Lawson has had at least some interest in Bama. I think there is a perception (played on heavily by the competition) that our defensive linemen are run stoppers only. We recruit linebackers at an extremely high level so no idea why anyone would think we struggle there because we may or may not miss on one kid. Nico Johnson was a 5*, CJ a 4*, Depriest a 4*, Anderson. 5*, Hayes a 4*, etc. the list is pretty impressive.
Power...Auburn. Mkay. Happy Moo Year to ya.
Has to be a joke...we finish #1 in recruiting every year...
Long sentence lol
sarcastic on them bein powers
I don't understand you
I agree. We can't land the big name d-lineman. However, Saban has shown he knows what he's doing. Most people have crimson glasses on and don't want to admit that we haven't signed too many 5* lineman or linebackers. Plus if we lose walker that's gonna hurt.
