says we will lose to South Carolina this year. That we're starting a freshman at RB and WR. A little research will help these guys out. Just a little bit.
No wonder he thinks we're gonna struggle. He's confused us with Vanderbilt.
we dont even play SC
"He usually knows his stuff" and/or "he's the best national guy for CFB around" in 3... 2... 1...

For whatever reason, there seems to be a decent amount of people out there who insist on this season being just like 2010 and they won't be convinced otherwise.
Coward creates his stance on a topic based on the response he thinks it will garner. Then when a caller challenges him he cuts them off. He will contradict himself a lot because his pre-prepared argument may not jive with a earlier stance. He is a master at it. He won't let anyone stay on the line long enough to make a credible response. Don't get caught up in his BS.
It was funny just hearing such an uninformed opinion of Bama's team.
Sure he wasn't talking about USC in the championship game?
This is 100% true, but it completely sucks that the female, non-football-watching, aspiring broadcaster interns who supply his so-called "knowledge" (read: "three bullet points they pulled off the ESPN.com team ticker") don't find their finely aerobicised asses on the street for offending us.
JMEO, of course.
possible, but it sounded more like he thought we played them in the regular season. He had us with 2 losses.
Yeah, that doesn't sound like he expects us to be in the BCSNCG IMO.
I may be in the minority, but I LOVE and I mean I LOVE the fact that everyone is writing this team off as being too young. They keep bringing up 2010 and how it will be a repeat. We are too young here to inexperienced there. I personally think all of this is actually HELPING our cause.
Wow! Its one thing to say we are going to be like the 2010 team but to not know our schedule is just lazy.
I was about to say the same thing. I like Colin Cowherd but he was talking out of his Azz right their.
I could have swore just two days ago he said we would lose to Arky, Lswho, and the Barn. So wth is he talking about now???
Colin Cowherd. Danny Sheridan. Ron Zook. All have similar credibilities and intellects. Why worry?
They are not factoring in 4 returning starting lineman which 3 could be first round picks.in 2010 our o-line had 2 new guys
also as much as I love Greg mcelroy he's not as talented as A.J. I see A.J. having a big year forcing teams to not load up the box like they did in 2010.defensively we have leaders at every level.senior leadership at that.plus Moseley and milliner have a ton of experience that hasn't been accounted for. I see a big year guys.us against the world. ROLL Tide!

I have a hard time believing anybody at ESPN just flat-out wouldn't know our schedule. He probably meant in the SEC Championship Game. Evidently he's not that high on us. Well, uh, you know, that's just, like, his opinion, man.
If not by faith, then perhaps by sight.
I watched it as well but it was just his opinion just like everyone else. When he said Alabama would lose to USCe he was saying if they played USCe they would lose. He said that because he rated USCe 1 spot behind Alabama. Talked about our offensive line and said it was good but wasnt enough to win it all. Said he knew Bama's Off coach and said he talked to him himself but I'm not sure what he meant by that. Said he was all about Alabama playing a rematch against LSU last year but not this year because he doesn't think our schedule is tough enough. Also said that LSU schedule is brutal and that's why he has them at number 1. He said he would put them in the title game with 2 loses. Don't agree with that

The only thing I would say about it if he meant the SEC Championship Game, he needs to reference that. He didn't. He mention them twice when talking to Van Pelt as if we "definitely" play them. I think Colin just thought about SEC teams we could lose to and picked South Carolina even though we don't play them. But I can also see him meaning the Championship game though.
He said "if" we played SC. He thinks they would beat us "if" we played them.
Makes more sense. I'm absolutely blown away by what some people post on here talking about what they "heard" or "saw". It's flabbergasting...it really is...how some people can come away from an interview, analysis, etc. with the conclusions they do. Not trying to bash anyone here, just an observation.
I like Cowherd. If he thinks USCe would beat us, so what? I don't think that's very far-fetched. I think we'd win but USCe has a good football team and the last two times we've played them they played us very tough at home and then whipped our asses in Columbia. I think Cowherd is about as good as you're going to get on sports radio/TV, nobody's perfect. I strongly disagree about our OL not being good enough to win it all but again...it's merely his opinion. He said it was good.
