Did anyone hear Roy Cramer on The Tony Barnhart Show. He talked about he is concerned that ticket sales are going to consistently go down in the future and it is going to be harder to fill the big stadiums. His point was the most large stadiumns were built or added on to at a time when.
1. There were not as many tv markets. And the number of games that could be shown compared to today is considerably different. Also worried with expansion of conferences this market will grow stuff like longhorn network etc.
2. Technology High definition huge flat screens are now available why pay high ticket prices for something you can watch with a better view in the comfort of your own home .
3. Obviously the economy most people cant afford the prices tickets are going to unless their priorities or out of wack
Cramer is smart man and kind of a prophet he believed in sec championship game when no one else did, of course us beating florida in 92 made his gamble pay off in turn it into what it is . I think there was a 30 for 30 story on espn about this. I think he is right, it is only going to get harder to fill these stadiums unless your winning and even then attendance will go down according to latest statistics

Vince Lombardi was asked how it felt to have the best football team in the world. He replied, I don't know. We haven't played Alabama yet.
