What recruit did Steve tell he was going to ended up pumping his gas if he went somewhere else?
EDIT: I obviously didn't remember it well.

Five years ago Spurrier came to speak at a fundraiser banquet I organized for the small private school where I was the head. Didn't have to use a booking agent...worked directly through his secretary at USC. Cut his fee significantly for us, was extremely gracious and patient with guests and signed lots of autographs and had his picture made with several people. Autographed things we could auction. Weather was pretty bad that afternoon and for a while it looked like his plane might not be able to get into the little airport, but he came anyway.
It was a nice shot in the arm for our fundraising efforts that year. He didn't have to do that for our little school. You'll never hear me say a bad word about Steve Spurrier.
Laney was right. Being a WR for the Bears isn't much different than pumping gas in SC - except it's colder
Plus one to you.
