For me, it's when somebody asks a question they don't really want anybody's answer to, they just want to post their own answer and wish somebody had asked.
Threads about the grass at BDS, uniform changes, Duron Carter.
At first, I was all like...."huh?"....but then I was all like...."ohhhhhhh"
Generally speaking, it's one that has to do with any pro sport (besides golf). I'm a college sports guy, so I have no interest at all in reading those posts.
Having said that, it doesn't really bother me that a couple litter the board...I just skip over them.
"The Lord just wasn't with us, Coach."
"The Lord," grumbled Bryant, "expects you to block and tackle."
Rick Bragg, August 8, 2012
I see what you did there.
God, give me patience today. If given strength I may beat someone to death.
this kind of thread
Oh the irony of this post. Probably what you were going for.
To answer the question though I would have to say the "Dear Recruit X: Please come to Alabama because Coach Saben (misspelled on purpose) is a god. You will have a great future here blah blah blah NFL blah blah blah Roll Tide."
We get it. Everybody here is an Alabama fan minus the trolls et al. Most people on here want Recruit X to come to Alabama. Those threads are an absolute waste of time and creepy. It reminds me of why certain people should not be allowed to use social media.
The "story time" threads during the Auburn fiasco was some of the dumbest stuff I've ever seen grown men eat up. "Brown water boy"? I know, it was Pat Dye (har har har super funny), but did you have to speak in some stupid fairy-tale code? On top of the fact that the info was bogus, the threads could have been written by the He-Man Woman Haters Club. No girls or Auburn fans allowed.
"Nobility is not a birth-right; it is defined by one's actions"
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
What channel is the game on? What time is the game?
The gif below shows what I do when I see those type threads

On Alabama: CeCe Jefferson - "It was a bunch of beautiful women..." Reggie Ragland - "oh the females of course..."
"The (All In) Family"
Threads that ask who the best high school player you've ever seen in person, or the best you've ever played with or against, etc... because everyone wants everyone else to know, but really nobody gives a frick. So it ends up lasting for days and goes through several pages of worthless information that stays bumped to the top of the forum.
Coming in a close second would be "Saban has a plan" type threads or people telling us not to worry about recruiting. I pay $100 a year for the sole purpose of worrying about recruiting.
I hate threads where posters have a problem with certain posters and hijack the said thread to make it about that poster and their previous post history.
