ole miss to get the top 3 players in the nation........hmmmmmm, wow
.....and still finish behind us. It is good to be the King.
Why do you think people have been going nuts about this. It is not like these guys are from South Panola either...only one of them is from Mississippi, and he has been a Bulldog committ since forever. It could be coincidence.
"Touch that thang four" - Courtney Upshaw
Exactly what I've been thinking!
Actually 2 of the 3 can be explained. One has a brother at the School. One is Ranked #1 Player in Mississippi. It's the 3rd one that reminds me of the Cam Newton Story. He had no interest in Ole Miss till 3 weeks ago. it had been Georgia and Bama for over 6 months. that is the one hard to explain????
Ole Miss is fishy at best, dirty at worst. No way to go from doormat of the last three generations to rolling in five stars and not be looked at suspiciously.
Only problem with the total class is they also are getting the bottom 3
yep...and CNS coaches our 5 stars up to 10..4 stars up to 10 and some 3 stars up to 10. Let's see what Mr. Freeze can do...
Ole miss has periodically peppered in a few good recruits and classes. RK is a big pull but maybe we all should've taken his brother last year and stopped the whining.
Tunsil might just be riding the wave of momentum and hoping to do something big and new.
They aren't blatantly cheating. You kids are being silly.
Not sure if they are dirty or not however this is an impressive, albeit top heavy, recruiting class. They still come to TTown next Fall a double digit underdog. Winning February is only one piece of the puzzle. He still needs to coach 'em up (no proof Freeze can) and do it again next year and the year after before he competes for anything more than 4th in the West.
mixed in with 16 three stars. Makes no sense...but I will worry never about Ole Miss in anything...ever.
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.”
My exact thoughts. You have a few good players that will need to be developed mixed with some average talent.
Good job by CHF but it will take more than a few players in this class to concern us. We've a better class with more talent and better coaches.
The Dynasty is Here!
And this "elite" class comes to Tuscaloosa 2 out of 3 years after which the "elite" guys will either have flopped or will head to the league. My take on their recruiting is the same as my take on this season. Do it two or three years in a row and check back with me.
top heavy class. They will definitely contend better, but I still don't see the depth they need to be a top contender, especially in the SEC West
Hot new coach, fun system, Arky and Auburn falling off in the West as schools top recruits would like to play for, and plenty of playing time availble. That alone can explain a great recruiting class this year for Ole Miss. Now if they repeat next year pulling in all these 5 stars, well then I will join in the $$$ flying out of Oxford. I'm just going to give Ole Miss the benefit of the doubt this year and concentrate on enjoying this great recruiting class we got coming in and trying for the 3 peat and football program immortality.
I am ok with Ole Miss's class. I would love for them to be just good enough to beat Auburn for the foreseeable future. I am not scared of Ole Miss but if I was AU I sure would be. Can you imagine how a 3-4 year losing streak to Ole Miss would be handled down on the plains? It brings a smile to my face just thinking about it (g)
