I just don't buy the Dismukes thing at this juncture. With CK at tackle, I don't see how we would displace the Outland winner and, in turn, one of our guards, for Dismukes, who hasn't done anything but start by default on a terrible line. I think we are coming into this season with a wet dream of an OL. It is ridiculous.

Other than in 2010 when he had Cam Newton throwing his passes he hasn't done much at all. I don't even think he caught a pass against Alabama last year. Who knows ? He could have a big year this year and surprise everybody. He hurt us in the game two years ago but that was a perfect storm. Coach Saban certainly isn't going to overlook him and Lutzendouche after that game. As a whole Alabama has a much better group of receivers than the barn. That much is certain.

Imagine how good they could be with a brilliant offensive mind like Trooper Taylor coaching them.

    Douché!

  • Rounding out the list:

    3. McCalleb
    2. Lemonier
    1. Whatzhiznazi

So their best player has 44 catches in three years.

    Douché!

  • BTW he is quoted as saying they have a legitimate shot at a national title.

No. No they do not. That is quite funny.

I really don't get the approach they always seem to take, which is to overhype and overpromise until expectations are raised to unrealistic levels, but they stick with it. Look at the cult they've built around an average H-Back. You'd think he was a Heisman candidate, the way they talk about him.

Besides, why are you in our thread?

  • Watch the film! Emory Blake was superman for auburn before he got hurt in 2011 and led the team in TD catches in 2010. He was probably the only reason they went to a bowl game. Not only would he start this year if he wore crimson, he would have been the leading receiver last year.

To the "how do you know what our guys are like if you havent seen them?" guy....

we didnt even have the 3rd best receiver corps in our division last year. Chances are if a receiver didnt play, it was because he wasn't very good yet.

Emory Blake is unequivocally better than anyone on our roster and he has the film and healthy stats to prove it.

I really really really really really hope norwood, bell, white, or cooper step up and prove me wrong, but until then Emory Blake is better. NFL scouts would also agree with me by the way. Blake is currently rated the number 5 wideout for next years draft. Norwood is rated the number 15 WR for 2014. Kenny Bell is rated the number 63 WR. According to nfldraftscout.com

    http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=89724&draftyear=2014&genpos=WR

    http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=89496&draftyear=2013&genpos=WR

    http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=89490&draftyear=2014&genpos=WR

Someone make a valid argument other than "auburn sucks. we're better and more talented" and maybe i'll agree with you. Because we arent that good at WR and we've never been good under saban outside of julio and Maze (maze should be a good number 3 not a number 1). Emory blake would absolutely be the best WR on our roster. period.

Kindly stop hijacking this thread with your hyperattachment to that average barn wideout. TIA.
