We are a long way away from any ending to the Auburn saga....things don't happen that quickly in the NCAA investigations world......be a few years before we get clarity on Auburn...

I'm sure the wheels are turning slowly with the Auburn stuff, but I just don't understand why things would move quickly for this other program in question. Obviously, if someone is about to get the wood laid on them by the NCAA, then things are either moving quickly or it's for an infraction that took place in the far past.
Also - for the folks claiming it's Texas, few things would soothe my soul more than seeing them burn, but I have reservations. If they're cheating then they're even bigger idiots than I gave them credit for being. They pretty much wrap up recruiting at the junior day a year before NSD, and they have the pick of the litter. Maybe they've been cheating so that's why it's been so easy for them, but they have so many built-in advantages with their facilities and their huge recruiting and alumni base, it seems as though a trained donkey could recruit there without much trouble.
I'd love to see Ohio State or Tennessee get wailed on, though. I have no real hatred to OSU, but I do hate Big Ten arrogance about morality/oversigning/ethics issues where they think they're beyond reproach.

same here. the little sig's are hard to get used to, but i'm glad that the sigs here cannot go "wide" and screw up a thread.

I just wonder if Cowherd's "top 10-12 team" statement referred to poll rankings, or a perception of a team among the 'top 10-12' of all-time?
EDIT: If it is indeed Texas, then that will really explain the sudden mass exodus of coaches from there, aside from Mack Brown's poor management of the program of late.

There are about 7 teams on top of AU that are under fire right now, Texas and Ohio St are both on that list. Alabama isn't FWIW.
