This is a very good point. These games are an excellent opportunity for less affluent fans to see a game, or for a family to take young kids when 4 tickets to an SEC opponent are cost prohibitive.
I had to sell my tickets this year because of some unexpected expenses, and the Western Carolina tickets were bought several weeks ago. So there is some demand.

I like having a team or two that are sure wins. We just cannot afford to play tough team for 12 weeks. We need breaks.

^^This. Not to mention BOTH teams need this game. WCU is using this money to update over 20 yr old video equipment. Helps their school a lot for their future.

I watch Bama replays and go to A-Day when we play ourselves so if there is an actual live game, watching it is a no brainier for me regardless of the opponent.

Not if they'd get their head out of their butt and get us a legit playoff that involves cutting back the regular season games to 10. Ten you could afford 2 losses and still make a playoff run.
