Just watched his videos and his first step and overall athleticism is insane for a DE. Clowney had the best highlights I've ever seen for a high schooler on defense but Hand is pretty close to that level IMO. I'd like to watch a whole game of his to be certain but a number of his highlights were run plays where they are running away from him. A ton of guys only flash greatness when the plays come their way, Hand is relentless in his pursuit, uses his hands well (no pun intended) and cleans up plays all over the field.
This past year I was never wowed with the film I saw on RN. He was elite but IMO other 5-stars were equal (or had better film) than him in this cycle... I think Hand is the clear cut #1 in the 2014 cycle.
Also impressed with his overall attitude and speaking. Seems like a very intelligent and down to earth young man.
I know we are near the top for him and really hope he's one that we land. Not sure how many we sign next year but ill be happy with Hand and a deep OL class.
