Say what you want about Dabo, but that was a very classy response...very effective rebuttal littered with facts, FACTS!, instead of some cliche egotistical statement. Clemson fans down on Dabo need to listen to that and realize what they have and appreciate as given a chance is going to make that team very consistently competitive.

I don't think of it as being classy. Don't get me wrong; it was true, but classy would have been just to point out their record and leave it at that. No need to talk about "the grandkids" and to run down their rival publicly. Our coach, and none we have ever had, would have gone on that rant in front of cameras, maybe privately. It sounded more like something Tuberville would have said. I like Dabo, but he wears his emotions on his sleeve and that is going to get him in trouble one day. JMO... Queue the down votes I guess.
No down vote from me, but I am reminded of the scene from The American President, where Michael Douglas, who is playing the President is asked by his girlfriend, played by Annette Bening how he could just sit there and be quite while his opponent was talking him and her down publicly and calling her a whore etc. etc. and he kept telling her something to the effect of "The President doesn't respond to these type false accusations etc. etc."
Bottom line is sometimes you have to defend your name and reputation, and Dabo felt the need to defend his program. If Coach Saban was faced with his peers basically running down the Alabama program publicly by similar comments, I would hope he would rise to our defense with force and facts and a little good natured humor all mixed in like Dabo did.
(and before I get the questions about why I watched that chick flick, I've been married for over 20 years, and those of you who are married will understand what you endure for your significant other)
