I've not been following him closely this preseason, but I do know that he was 319 lbs at the combine, and that he showed up for Bills' training camp weighing 343. Those 24 extra pounds may have something to do with it. Mt. Cody was 349 at the combine, so Dareus is up there with Mt. Cody's weight now. I think his ideal weight would be around 315, but that's just a guess.
i admit i have not seen him play one bit. his stats look good so far this preseason, but 340 definitely seems like too heavy if true. i alwasy thought he could easily play nose guard but he is so atheltic he is better suited as an big end
Hes just what the bills want. An interior DL that can't b moved. He's huge and has a gut bit still quick
That's what's pasa!

I don't think he is 343lbs...I saw a report at the begining of camp that had him listed in the low 320s...Can anyone link a report confirming his weight?
Is 343 correct? I haven't watched him yet but what did he play at last year, 310 or so? 343 is enourmous, clearly he shouldn't try and sustain that right?
He doesn't look THAT heavy to me. That is only 6 pound less than Cody's listed weight.
He'd be best suited at about 300-310 and playing end in a 3-4, IMO.
thanks..I wonder if they wanted him to add any of that?
He looked pretty good to me. He was taking on a lot of double teams and stalemating them or pushing it back. He may need to shed some weight but he is still pretty explosive. Two sacks in two games from a Dt spot is pretty impressive. I think the biggest problem the bills have is linebacker not filling the gaps. The line looks pretty solid.
