even if he has no chance at playing in reality I see no harm in leaking this information prior to the game. This would give the corndogs just one more thing to prepare for. Whether he actually plays is information above my pay grade but as a casual observer of Alabama football I would seriously doubt it.

I can't imagine playing Dee. We've got 3 very capable running backs, which allows us to redshirt Dee.
As for CyKo, I think he played in too many games to get a medical and I can't imagine he'd be physically ready.

He wont play because he is not needed.However, if we thought he could give us just one big play in this game, we would burn his redshirt. This is the national title, what its all about.

For those that say "No way he plays!"...... I ask why not?
Anyone ever heard of Knowshawn Moreno? He reshirted his first year only to stay 2 at GA.
Why not use the kid's talents in this game? If he really is that talented her will be gone in 2 more years anyways.

I understand that Dee is an elite playmaker and could very well make a difference if he is 100%. However, I highly doubt he is 100% by then. Maybe close, but not quite. Second of all, and most importantly, the kid has never played a snap of college football, and putting pressure on him in such a big spotlight in a game of such magnitude would not be ideal, IMO.

Also CyKo will only be there 2 more years anyway redshirt or not. He is a 3 year player IMO.

Just my opinion but I don't think the staff would burn a redshirt on a kid in a bowl, no matter how important. The negative recruiting practically writes itself, and auburn or ut would use it against us to recruits parents. Now, they probably don't mind LSU having to worry about the possibility of him playing, so I doubt Saban will come out and deny it. Again, just my opinion.

Call me crazy but I doubt the coaches are basing any decisions on whether or not a guy who has never seen a live snap in college will go pro in 2 years. Maybe he will but you don't waste a redshirt on that small possibility.

Don't think he will play either, but in 09 Saban said AJ was our backup and if McElroy got hurt he was going to burn his redshirt to win a NC.

Not this again. Neither Dee Hart nor Duron Carter will play in the championship game. Just to get ahead of the curve, even though TJ Yeldon is enrolling in January, he will not play in the game either.
Why risk Dee causing further injury and causing major damage by playing him too early when we have 4 capable running backs? Also, why burn his redshirt for one game when he would only potentially play a handful of plays?
