Delaney has a *vested* interest in making the strongest argument he can for allowing his weak-ass conference to be nationally relevant again.

He's a lot like a criminal defense lawyer who knows his client is guilty, but despite that is morally and legally obligated to make the best case he can in defense of his client, despite its obvious ridiculousness. Delanay sounds just like that kind of lawyer. What do you expect him to say? He himself probably knows how weak his argument sounds, but then again he knows who butters his bread so.... Weak!!!

Edit: The 2010 Green Bay Packers did not win their division (the Chicago Bears won the division), yet they won the Super Bowl. Likewise, the 2004 Pittsburgh Steelers did not win their division, yet won the Super Bowl. When LSU and Arkansas are in your division, that should be taken into account. It's not like Northwestern or Indiana won the division over us.
