Did Fulton get his own thread? If not, he should

  • I had a 24 hour rule after the game Saturday that I'd avoid football except to look at the Auburn score when it was over. So if Fulton already got his own thread - I apologize for the duplicate.

    But this guy was absolutely on fire Saturday night. Seriously, a Marquis Johnson vs 09 South Carolina type game. I'd be lying if I said that I didn't scream out more than once during the game - "Yeah! Throw it at him again, bi&%$, see what happens!"

  • Got pushed around a couple of times, but after he saw refs flag was sewn into his pockets, he stuck the much bigger wr and shut him down. Great effort and great performance. JMO, but we need 3-4 CBS in our nickle and.dime packages. A max OS 2 safeties at a time on the field. A&M picked on Lester and sunseri all night. Fulton is a big improvement IMO! Had a great game. Met his dad after the game, he is good man also.

  • Played well late in the game, but got picked on a lot early and also got dragged for 1st downs 2-3 times. Overall grade: B

  • I don't care to grade Fulton. He was clowned by Evans for 2-3 plays... But the way he came back shows that he has a lot of heart and pride. We can count on this kid in the future.

  • He struggled early but as the game went on he locked Evans up. Vinnie just can't cover. Landon Collins and geno smith need to be thrown in the fire the next two games to see if they respond. I saw geno come in for about two plays when dee was hurt and tamu went right at him and he responded well

  • If I am being honest, I thought Fulton, along with Sunseri, really got picked on for most of the game. I did see a few nice plays and pass break-ups by Fulton near the end of the game but he was a liability IMO for about three quarters.

  • They did pick on Fulton but he was also matched up on their best outside WR. He made plays and gave up plays. I was glad to see 3 corners in dime instead of 4 safeties.

  • I think Fulton is clearly the 3rd best corner on the team and he was deliberately targeted. He didn't play a perfect game but I was honestly happy to see a 3rd corner in our extra-db packages rather than a safety. Our safety play has not been good lately—even Robert Lester had what I thought was his worst game of the season on Saturday.

    I agree that Landon and geno need more reps. I hope they are both starters next year but we have a solid but not great guy in Fulton just in case

    Much rather see him covering a guy than sunseri... Fulton made plays in 2nd half and was on his guys hip, the guy he was covering was much much bigger. I think he gained confidence an played more naturally as game went on. Sunseri on other-swope whipped his as$ something terrible several times even when swope wasn't thrown to. Just re watch aTm td pass in 4th qtr. Watch Vinnie and swope at top of screen

  • Fulton got picked on a great deal.He got beat a good bit but as the game progressed he got better and better.I think he only get better with playing time.

  • I was fine with Fulton's performance. Evans is a monster. I was shocked by how big he was.

    Vinnie, OTOH, is flat out a huge liability in coverage. That's the second week he has been abused in the passing game. I would rather throw Collins or Geno out there and allow them to learn as they go than have Vinnie out there any longer. Collins/Geno may get burned or make more mental mistakes but they're also more athletic and more able to make big plays at some point. Having Vinnie out there is just like throwing a body on the field for the sake of having someone out there. He gets beat constantly and isn't athletic enough to do anything about it. I love the kid and his toughness and enthusiasm are awesome...he's just not good in coverage though and it's costing us.

    This is exactly right. The WR was pushing of like mad and getting away with it. When Fulton realized he could get away with thep physical play he did much better. Although he did get dragged a little bit after catches but he was the best Ive seen him.

    Vinnie should be special teams and emergency safety.
