I can understand the football to an extent, but the dinner with Mal Moore...not so much. Wonder what a dinner with CNS would have gone for?

If your kid is a five-star, it's free. Haha.

Spa visit for two with Sarah Patterson went for $2,500.

The beef tenderloin is where it's at. I've only been to The Bright Star once, but I compare that meal to everything else. I've got to make the trip back.

Been three or four times, including once to address the REC, and it has never disappointed. I'm a bread pudding freak and it held up with the best of them. REC meeting had the feel of a Corleone family "sit-down" in that old building. Haha.

Did you happen to overhear anything at that REC meeting about any new plans they're working on to destroy the barn (g)? TIA.

I would never do such a thing but I can see how someone whose mind is in the gutter could spin this.

I was under the impression that all REC meetings had the feel of a Corleone family sit-down?? shrug

Besides, who said that you could speak of an REC meeting? Better guard your trees tonight is all I'm sayin'. fishing

If not for the recession (which is still raging onward), I would have eaten Greek-style Snapper at the Bright Star much more than I have, over the past 4-years.

Yes, very good. Bread pudding from Mulate's in NOLA is still my favorite.

High price to pay to re-live the dinner between Mal and Spurrier at the Bright Star about 10 years ago. Anyone else remember that message board rumor? I think it was closely followed by Jimmy Johnson buying lake property in Tuscaloosa.

Don't forget the Spurrier sighting at North River.

  • Having that BCSNCG football would be pretty cool. Unfortunately I just don't have 50Gs laying around to throw at it. That's some serious wealth for a football. RTR

  • Yep, the economy never slowed down for the people at the top of the economic food chain.

I realize that it's basically a tax write-off donation to a "charitable cause", but wow.

So because part of the donation is tax deductible, it is somehow less of a gift?
