Sims probably gives us a better chance to win than Ely.

I don't know about Ely, but Sims may be our best alternative if something ever happened to AJ. Of course, it would be a totally different offense with few deep passes and an extra runner on the field.

This appears to be true at this point. Blake has looked pretty solid recently. Completely different style of QB, but he looks far more comfortable and effective overall than our other options at this point.

We'd clearly give up a good bit of our deep passing ability as a trade off for his mobility/speed if AJ goes down, God forbid. Blake's short to mid-range passing ability has looked pretty good though recently. Combine that with his athleticism and limit what we ask him to do, and he could probably get us through some games.
