Bingo. I don't consider Finebaum sports, he's entertainment. Other than some guest segments I can't stand his show.

His guest segments can be fantastic. But the call in portion is Jerry springer at its worst. At times it makes the whole state look bad on national radio

Here's how FB's show goes, especially during the slow summer months.
He will try to pit the "star" callers against one another, i.e. "Darrell" vs
"Legend" or "Phyllis"(from days gone by) vs "Jim from Tuscaloosa". Then
he will try to keep that pot stirred for days on end, turning the show into a
boring soap opera.

His absolute FAVORITE summertime hot-button topic: RACE. Nothing keeps
the phone lines burning than a good old-fashioned callfest centered on race
and so-called racism. And nobody has less credibility on the topic than Charles
Barkley. There are other "standard" guests when this topic arises as well, all
of whom BORE me to tears.

That is why I rarely listen to the show anymore, particularly during the slow
summer months.

Rumor now is that the cops took current AU players out of the back of the complex so they wouldn't be involved in the story. People will come up with anything, so I don't know if we'll ever hear the whole truth in this matter.
