    So what is your plan/book?

I use the Renegade Diet for a food plan. I don't have a specific workout "plan" other than taking bits and pieces from several guys who advocate 3-day a week full body workouts.

One really good book I am into right now is called "Bigger Leaner Stronger" by Michael Matthews. Really sound principles in there.

  • I would like to take some of the better or shared tips in this thread and put into one post in the OP if you guys would have an interest in that. Got a lot of supplement suggestions. Would still like to hear opinions on who prefers 3-day total body workouts vs. four or five day splits.

To expand on that - I have been reading a weight training blog site called T-Nation. If you look through their archives, you will find myriad opinions on how to split workouts. Guys that obviously all have had success, so there is more than one way to skin a cat.

I do three-day a week workouts for time reasons. I am reading two books right now by respected trainers that both say very different things with respect to this:

    - Huge in a Hurry = http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1605299340/ref=oh_details_o01_s02_i03

Advocates 3 day a week workouts, hitting every body part in each workout.

    - Bigger Leaner Stronger - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1475143389/ref=oh_details_o01_s02_i02

Advocates working out each body part once a week.

  • Shane, you mention you "found a great plan and books" or something like that in your OP...Can you lay out what book(s)/plans you are using as the backbone of your regimen? Specific sources, if you will. Thanks!
