Maybe you need to use some common sense. The president just two weeks ago came out and said that he was putting together a committee to look into replacing Chizic and staff. Then we start hearing all this smoke about retaining him. And to top it off the Auburn situation has gotten worse, not better. It's not like they're giving Chizik a vote of confidence from him showing improvement. The man has completely lost his team and they're talking about keeping him. Wonder why? These guys have a short list of coaches. They've secretly been contacting people/agents to gauge interest. It's pretty obvious by Gogue backtracking that the candidates they really want are more than likely not interested. So it looks like Gogue is trying to filter this out ahead of time to gauge the potential shock factor.

Coaches may shows respect and not talk about other jobs publicly, but privately their agents are always looking to make them happier and get a better deal. So it's pretty obvious by what's NOT being said by Auburn, instead of what IS being said....."Common sense" would tell you that.... ;)
