Former Auburn QB Patrick Nix interviewed

For The Scottsboro Wildcats High School Head coach job a few days ago. This would be a GREAT hire for my old alma mater. Scottsboro will be making their final decision hopefully within the next week. (Although their shouldn't be one) Area kids know his name and they would come play for a guy like him. Could change the face of Scottsboro football.

He was theeeee worst offensive coordinator at the U. The guy could call a great short sided bubble screen 20 times a game tho.
Better off Nix stays on the high school level.

Official or not, he interviewed and expressed he wants the job. If Scottsboro doesn't hire him, they deserve to be mediocre for the rest of their days.

Guess if you call a phone conversation an interview then so be it.
Don't be surprised if a former Scottsboro asst isn't in the mix big time as well.

My dad graduated from Scottsboro High School. Would be nice to see them snag a good coach.

I would'nt be surprised at anything Scottsboro does. They've mismanaged the football team for years. Way too much talent In the area to underachieve for that long. Which former assistant are you speaking a out? What years? They really need to hire Nix. He is a name that kids know, he's been an OC at major D1 schools. Maybe some of the talent that has gone to North Jackson for years will want to come to play for the good guys.

Scottsboro has really been hot garbage every since we were in school Stache (outside of a decent year here and there). The triple option days with Coach Keeling were fun times.
Scottsboro's O was hard to handle with Kiki at QB, and Corey Wellington and Gary Griffin in the backfield. A true triple threat.

What has Scott been up to? Scottsboro went on a hell of a run the 2 years after I graduated in 96,97 and 98. Corey Wellington was a beast in the option. I like Coach Keeling. He'd be a good hire as well. I was hoping you we're talking about him.

I'm not sure. He was a heck of an offensive lineman when he played but I'm not sure he has the resume for it. Especially if Nix and Keeling are the competition.
