You can certainly see the "Saban" traits in Bateman the more you hear about him. Things like "Student of the game" mentions of him being engaging and his competitive spirit. Seven on seven is a horrible measure of potential football prowess on Saturdays and Sundays, but one thing you got a feel for with Bateman is that over time, he learned where his opportunities were going to be and he struck when they presented themselves. Looks like another Championship QB to me. We may not get the "specimen" QB at Bama, but we don't need them. Still, one has to wonder that as each year goes by these championship QBs start coming in with more "specimen" talent, it is getting ever more difficult to stop Bama.

In terms of Mechanics/Technique and how quick his release is, how does Bateman match up with Browne, Morris and Hackenberg??

not sure if you noticed our last recruiting class, but it was loaded with top flight offensive talent. UA is incredibly talented at WR and as long as Lacy comes back from surgery 100% we look good at RB as well. if our OT'S stay healthy and we keep AJ upright........I think some school records could be broken this year.
