" Alabama, meanwhile, is 12-4 in the SEC. But six of those wins came courtesy of series sweeps against Auburn, LSU and Mississippi State, and two more were against South Carolina and Arkansas. None of those teams will make the tournament and, as a result, Alabama might not, either. At the end of the day, a lot of numbers are used to decide whether a school receives a berth in the NCAA tournament. Conference records aren’t among them."
Notice there is no mention of the "quality" wins. Seems biased; but for the life of me I can't believe there is some kind of conspiracy against Alabama. Is the author just providing facts that support his supposition? Or is there something at work here that's less obvious? Head scratcher for me.....................
Should teams that win at least half their games in a power conference gain an NCAA tournament bid? - College Basketball news
They also don't mention that Tenn. who many consider a lock at 18-13 (8-8) was 0-2 against Ark. & MSU, was 0-2 vs. UK (who Bama beat), and 1-1 vs. UGA (a team Bama will hopefully have a chance to go 2-0 against) their only good wins since Jan. 5 was @ UGA and @ Vandy.
