Funny how Nobody here wants to talk basketball until

  • We hit some rough waters. Where were all of the "basketball fans" whiners when things are good? Yes these are bad losses and deserve questions but some of the crap that is being posted is unbelievable!

  • And I, for one, refuse to let poor basketball performance pull me down from the high I am on from the football team's national championship. It is like a poor basketball antidote.

  • i completely disagree. now, is there a lot of bball talk when we beat somebody we're supposed to beat? probably not. but any big win, there's plenty of bball talk.

    To be fair, I still don't want to talk about basketball and wish basketball threads wouldn't clutter the board. Who cares what the basketball team does? I sure don't. Baseball season is almost here anyway. Time to focus on that IMO.

    They will be funny when I intend for them to be funny. That post was intended to convey that basketball is a worthless game and seeing people whine about it pisses me off. My interest in the "sport" would be the same whether we're undefeated, winless or, as i guess we are now, sitting at 0.500. If we win the tourney, I wouldn't care. If we shut down the program, I'd be a little more excited. No humor intended. Basketball sucks.

  • Hard to be excited about a sport we have never been that good at. Probably never will. When the AD starts throwing money out there for the BBall program like football we might get it on track. Fact is, this is Alabama. We are a football school whether you like it or not.

  • People have talked basketball all season when there has been something to discuss. When we won in Puerto Rico people were excited and talked basketball. Since that time there hasn't been anything positive to discuss. However, there has been something extremely negative to discuss.

    I contend we would have as many threads praising the team if we had just gone 4-0 instead of 0-4.

    Agree. I have stepped away. I refuse to let them bother me and am just not watching. They have no offensive skill. It is boring and they are terrible this year. I'm not gonna get too enthused over it. We won the title. I'm not gonna let this hoops squad weaken that.

    I agree there is a high % of that but I not of those at all. I love bball. I used to live for it and still do to a certain extent. I'm actually very happy with CAG post game comments. He didn't give you the normal coach speak comments. He gave a very accurate and honest assessment of the current situation plaguing his coaches and team. My problem is that he hasn't been more proactive with Tony. Oddly enough, Coaches obviously need to be more aggressive with our upperclassmen. I could talk bball all day but I get your point. A brighter day is coming with Bama bball. Just sucks it can't be this year with a part time high energy player like tony. Players look up to TM and JG. But what do they see? Time to get our current youngsters attention!

    I'm with you. Didn't watch last night as I was playing music but I decided after we lost to Kentucky because we choked free throws down the stretch that I had to step away. They couldn't throw it in the ocean standing on a boat. It is frustrating.

    Choked free throws? We hung with UK till the last seconds by scoring every time down the court. It was UK that was making every free throw almost that sealed that game. We played lights outs, UK just played to an elite level befitting a top ranked team. Our defense not being able to stop them cost us the game, not free throws.
