“They gave me information on things I should look into about my projected major. They also talked about me from player standpoint. They said they liked my size and my speed and that my speed was my greatest attribute. They were more focused on not if I could start as a freshman but where I would be three years from now. I was really glad about that as well.”
Sounds like he has some experience dealing with auburn and/or Georgia.

Uga has a school of pharmacy. Here in Marietta, word is uga will be tough to beat out when it is all said and done.

Agreed. Who cares about starting immediately, if you're only starting because everyone else sucks? As an example, it's not like starting at linebacker as a freshman makes you Rolando McClain. I mean, Hell, Daren Bates has been a starter at S/LB from the time he ran headfirst onto campus. Mark Barron didn't start for a whole year. Which one is going to get paid to play football?

Some players have enough sense to realize starting as a freshman should not be the main reason for attending a school. Sounds like this young man might be one of them.

I would think the lack of a pharmacy program would hurt us. On the other hand, I have a ton of friends that are/were in pharmacy school at Ole MIss/Samford/*U and I just don't see how there's any way a football athlete could juggle both.

I agree 100%. He would have to be smart, REALLY smart, to be able to pull that off.
Two semesters of Organic Chemistry (nearly kicked my butt without playing football). I heard that Pharmacology was a bear also. That would be a hard row to how.

It is just crazy how much different we are now in recurting compaired to the Shula era. I love it but it's like night and day difference.
