Georgia secretly climbing up the SEC pecking order?

  • Seems like the list of SEC programs with discipline problems, DUIs arrests etc has been pretty established for awhile, but UGA seems to be making some waves this spring. Orson Charles is just the latest example.

The "fine good, respectable honest, family man" Coach Richt doesn't allow his players to misbehave. His program is clean as a whistle, so you must be mistaken ;)

  • Richt is the second coming of Christ, you better not speak ill of Holy Thoughest. He has certain holy players get arrested, so he can teach others not to do it, didn't ya know?

  • Uhhh, no they're not. They've always had these issues. This is nothing new.

Honest question....why is this relevant? Personally i want Richt at UGA for as long as possible but even if I didn't I don't get it when we bring up the arrest records of the schools in our conference?

You're right it isn't relevant. Charater and ethics aren't relevant either. Neither are graduation rates. I'm not sure why Coach Bryant wasted his time talking about these things. Not sure why CNS wastes his time on those distractions either. Its only about wins and losses; not how you represent your family, teamates or the University. Thanks for helping me see the light.

It's relevant because UGA fans and writers love to talk about how our coach is evil, and our players are a bunch of thugs. Meanwhile, we have players with some of the highest graduation rates in the conference, and how often do you hear about our guys getting into trouble? Saban is quick to handle problems internally before they lead to arrests. People love to say Saban "processes" players, but he's usually getting rid of the trouble makers before they get into legal trouble, or they conform.

Richt powders their asses, and has the highest arrest rate in the SEC.

    That is why its relevant.
