After last February, I always cringe when a prospect mentions Auburn as a finalist along with Bama.

they were honestly blown away by their visit....this guy is at the top of the board because both he and his family are a 1st class bunch....for all those that think it was a courtesy visit, you couldn't be more wrong.....all other visits will be compared to T-town........that's a BIG +

It questions the player's integrity just as much as it does Auburn's.

I like the sound of how the visit went. Anybody got a feel about our real chances with him?

I hate saying this, because it makes me feel like a Barner sympathizer, but try being somewhat objective - the Barn just won the National championship last year, that makes recruiting nationally much easier regardless of what their history is.

And while I'm on my soap box, somebody straighten me out. Unquestionable "facts"according to some of our people: the Barn only wins out on big name guys because they pay, or "break out the check book"; they are the "best" at cheating, have done it for years and have perfected it; and they have no history of recruiting elite talent until now because of the implied payment of players.

So they've always cheated, been doing it for years, but just now gone national (nothing to do with winning a championship)? Sometimes I wonder why I even get started in this type conversation, because I know you aren't going to change your mind. But come on, I hate the Barn like most everybody on here, but some of the excuses for their limited success is pitiful. We are head and shoulders above their program, despite last year. They've been in on plenty of top caliber talent over the last 2-3 years, and will continue to do so for the next couple. We don't have to act like a bunch of elementary school kids because of this.

What some of you don't realize is that in your hatred and degrading of the Barn you are also degrading the players that we too are recruiting. Saying we don't have a shot at X player because the Barn will just break out the check book is as much a shot at the player and his family than it is the Barn.
