I LOVE Mr. Kirby Smart, but this would be his first mistake vs his mentor, boss if he should take the UT job. No doubt he would do better than Doodie. But that move would put him a little too close to home if you know what I mean.

I truly think Coach Smart ends up going outside the SEC for his first gig. So many smart people around him including himself....and they obviously know which paths might make the most sense starting your career out. Could that change? Sure. When your at an elite place, you of course have the ambition and confidence in yourself that you can do great things. Maybe that wins out in the end. I'm just not sure intelligence doesn't win out in the end.

I sure hope you're right, OilGy,.If & went Kirby leaves. I do not want him in the SEC, especially with a rival school ... but, they do have him on the short list. yuk I can't believe that there's so many vacancies at 3 major SEC colleges, actually 4 including KY..wow..probably more coming up

No one will pay any attention to you or me, but your post is 100% factual. If Hart does pull off the home run hire, they'll find plenty of money.
