Soooooo, everyone would like to get away from what has won us multiple championships and get a QB who wants to throw it 70 times a game.I,for one love the offense we run and you do not need a gunslinger too run it.

Yes, I'm dissappointed that we haven't gotten Hackenburg (or another top QB) yet.

But it is amusing to see some of you melting down because we haven't gotten one of the top 2-3 QBs (by ratings) the last two years. By definition, there are only 2-3 of these guys. There are over 120 D1 schools. Yes, I'd like to get one each year, but the odds are stacked against any school doing that.

It also important to remember that we are talking about HS Juniors. Some top kids have yet to spring up, whether due to PT (Morris didn't start till his senior year, thus the lack of other offers), prior injuries, or it just not clicking yet.

We'll be fine. We getting antsy when we don't get a 5* player at every position. We are just incredibly spoiled and insanely high expectations. It's why we are Alabama.

We do not "need" an Elite QB to be an Elite team...we are doing quite well as it is judging by the last 4 years results. The thing that we need to remember about elite QB's...they have elite needs for the most part. Every year there are at best only 2-3 truly elite QBs in each class. How many of these elite qbs have we missed on during CNS's tenure? recruiting an elite QB isn't the same as recruiting an elite DT or LB...its a whole different animal. Our QB recruiting is at the level we need it to be. CNS refuses to have demands made upon this program by some of these elite qbs

Boys, I've been pushing Hackenberg for months now, anyone with an account here and on Tigetdroppings can attest to that. I am shocked right now. Hackenberg is the best QB in the 2013 class. Missing out on him will hurt. We haven't signed a top 5 QB since Sims and it's starting to become our "weakness" recruiting wise. He has said that he will visit Alabama in April and I hope that stays true.

I don't know where the talk of him being a Penn State fan is coming from, seeing as his dad playef at Virginia with Mike Groh. I hope he is one of those recruits who lists his last visit as his favorite, since PSU was his last visit. Hopefully he keeps to his word and comes to Tuscaloosa during spring practice. We may flip him.
