Hugh Freeze worked a bunch of package deals...

Signed Treadwells best friend a year ago, already had nkemdiche's brother on campus and offered Tunsils lowly regaded little brother. Ole miss is Tunsil's brothers only offer. Freeze says that's how he landed the three out of state 5 stars. I said he'd be great coach when he was hired last year. He's a smart guy. He also admits that this probably wont happen again, calling it the perfect storm.

I don't think Freeze is worried about really building that program for many years to come. Does anyone think he plans on being at OM very long? He will have a couple of pretty good years (great by OM standards) and then move onto another job before any of those recruits from this class graduate. I think he is a pretty good coach so far but Ole Miss is Ole Miss.

Freeze just took a few years off of his head coaching life. Even with all of his five stars, Ole Miss is no better than fourth in the west and eighth in the conference overall. This recruiting class just created very unrealistic expectations for him that he will not be able to match in this conference. I would suspect that some other coach will benefit from the fruits of his labor.

Can we also give them credit for Denzel being a great player and outstanding find for them as well as the way they came into Tuscaloosa and layed some licks on our team?
1. Denzel can play
2. Freeze has those guys ready on Saturday and I am happy there is a pulse in Oxford. Not worried about them beating us but I love watching them give fits to our rivals.

Houston Nutt is more responsible for this class than Freeze is! Nutt signed and placed the 5 star juco kid, signed Treadwell's best friend, and as was already pointed out, signed RN's brother. Without Nutt, they prolly don't get any 5 star, he was responsible for kids that got the momentum going, and created OM buzz!
The price of victory is high, but so are the rewards.
