I thought Stanford would line up and hit you in the mouth? ND just stopped them twice inside the 1...guess they aren't that though. Just too tough for USCw it seems.

It was very good defense on the goal line stand, but the kid scored and you could see that on the replay. Don't understand what they call visual evidence, cause it was there IMO.

Seems I needs to clarify since I got a downvote...haha. I wasn't cheering for ND...more upset that Stanford couldn't score on 2 tries inside the 1.

Why?
If you are 35 or older, I get it. If not, it seems a little illogical unless you learned the hate from your Dad or some other person.
I am 33 and remember "The Hit", '88, Holtz and Ismail, but they haven't been good in a little under 20 years. I think ND winning is, overall, good for the game of college football.
In my lifetime ND has as many titles as BYU.

The Stanford player was never down. The ball crossed the plain. There may have been a fumble, but a Stanford player recovered in the endzone anyway.
I'm not one to normally say this, but the refs blew that one.

The refs stole that game. This is ND's only chance to be relevant. When they're out of South Bend, then refs won't help.

I pray they win out. Stanford got hosed, from the personal foul call that bailed them out to the PI call to the absurd non-overturn (not sure why we have a replay system if that doesn't get reversed). They won't beat OU in Norman, but if they win out they deserve to be in Miami over Oregon, and we would absolutely prison rape them. Hype would be unmatched and we would do terrible things to their program.

I remember Bama getting robbed back in the mid-60s by ND, Mich State should have been ahead of ND because during their game ND had to come back to tie State and was lucky to do that. Of course the AP was going to give ND the title over Bama if it was close, and Bama did not lose a game that year and beat the Cornhuskers bad in the bowl game.

The Refs were scared of being cornholed out of Indiana--that is the only reason I can see why they didn't overturn that call.

I don't hate them, they are like us in being an old traditional national college football power, but I do feel like we owe them a few butt-whuppins.
Of all the teams we could play for the NC, Notre Dame is the one I'd most like to see us play. Beating them would be even more satisfying than beating Texas was.
