I have got to be misreading this..our TE Michael Williams

ran a 4.43 40 and is right behind Denard Robinson? That is a misprint, right?

Pretty sure that Williams is a > 5.00 forty guy. Amazing blocker though -- one of the best.

Last i heard he was not invited to the combine so i doubt that is him. Maybe a different michael williams?

It shows Michael Williams from Alabama and it has him listed at 4.41, which is better than Denard Robinson!

That site has him listed as 5' 11", 203 lbs. Not our Michael Williams. He wasn't invited to the Combine anyway.

Hey BOL Staff,
I really don't understand why Michael Williams is being neglected. We all know he's not fleet-afoot. But he's been a very integral part of our O-line for three full seasons. Has decent hands and can surely block. He's a good athlete. He also played basketball in high school. It would seem to me that he would be an ideal red-zone, 2nd tight end. Someone who can really block but also can occasionally catch too. I would think that someone like Michael Williams could really be serviceable with considerable playing time in the right system.

Take off your crimson colored glasses. He doesn't have the initial acceleration to test well in the 40.. I'd love for him to prove me wrong.

Your link also shows that he is 5'11" and 203 pounds? Think that is accurate? lol
The write up talks about straight line speed being one of his weaknesses.
If I had to guess, I would say the measurables and 40 time belong to someone else, and the actual write up was for our MW.
