Man looks in the abyss, there's nothing staring back at him. At that moment, man finds his character. That's what keeps him out of the abyss

LOVE that we play defense. it's so us.
Still work to be done, but considering the circumstances a huge win last night. This is hardly a vintage Maryland team, but they do have some talent although they are young (sound familiar?) Engstrom played more minutes than Green & Releford combined in the first half, yet we built a 16 point lead at the half. Tony Mitchell stepped up in a big way, and with the absence of Green & TRelly, when it was most critical. The big swede isn't blowing up the stat sheet, but if he can consistently provide the quality minutes he did last night while spelling Green, we'll be just fine. Nick Jacobs also showed some good things offensively last night. Hankerson has improved tremendously & IMHO can be an xfactor coming off the bench this year. He can knock down a 3 but he looks much more aggressive taking it to the rack & getting to the free throw line. I can't wait for Randolph & Lacey to get a little more experience. They're going to be fun to watch play together. Defensively we are just suffocating. If Moussa can come back in January opposing offensive players won't even be able to get inside the lane much less all the way to the hoop. Good times are here to stay as long as we can keep CAG in Tuscaloosa. Roll Grant Roll.
I have a question for anyone with good basketball knowledge. What is it that makes our defense so good? I was watching the game yesterday afternoon and for whatever reason it isn't clear to me. I know that's an odd question. But visually it's not all that obvious. Are we simply doing lots of little things?
Need to get some asses in seats at cc
