I may be excommunicated for this, I love Lacy but

Last night we are a better offense with Yeldon at RB. Against a good defensive front seven Lacy is too slow in his first couple of steps and does not have that quick acceleration and intiutive instinct to hit the hole like TJ. Of course, this just my opinion! RTR

I kind of agree with you. It seems Yeldon is hitting holes alot quicker than Eddie. Love Eddie but TJ may be special.

I think when lacy is in they anticipate the run more. Lacy had a ton of long runs last year when Richardson came out

you said much better what I think i was trying to say, Lacy is very good but TJ may be that special RB that continues CNS string of great backs! Thanks

Right now the only edge i see Lacy having is in pass protection.

TJ does get the benefit of hitting a defense after Lacy has softened them up a bit. But having said that I do think TJ is the better back. But only because he's the best in the country IMO. Tell me a better one?

I've been thinking this most of the year.. I know they are different type rb's ..but Lacy just seems a little slow. I wonder if his turf toe continues to slow him.. as some never get completely over it. I do like Lacy,s pass blocking and he is more of a power spin runner.Yeldon is alot faster. With equal carries...Yeldon will have way more yards per game by far.

TJ constantly presses the hole. It's amazing to see his footwork when he gets to a hole. He sidesteps, presses again, sidesteps the other direction, presses a few more yards, and sidesteps again to get into more open field. He is such a north south runner that it makes him incredibly efficient. His shoulders always seem square. Totally different type runner than Lacy.

This - TJ has good patience and sets up his blocks well but his holes are pretty fricken big IMO. I still think he has a higher ceiling than Lacy, but spin move is earning the tough yards out there.

Lacy is a really good running back but Yeldon is elite. It's similar to Glen Coffee compared to Mark Ingram or Trent Richardson.
