I don't think the OP has a problem with it either. He was just wanting to talk about who the possibilities are. Saban is going to maxamize every class and he is not going to take a chance of some kid burning him late, leaving him short. I don't have a problem with it as it is the reality of the business and people need to quit babying these kids. They need to grow up and see the reality of the business they are about to enter. If the NCAA didn't want these situations to take place, they could easily relax the scholarship restrictions as it was in the old days The harsh reality of it is that they are not being given a scholarship for them to get their education. They are getting one to play football and make money for rest of the University's athletic programs to survive. They are being allowed to get their education if that is what they choose. The quicker these kids grow up and realize that the more successful they will be in life, in the classroom, and on the field. A lot of us could have used that harsh reality of things when we left home for the first time.

Im going to put it like this. A greyshirt from UA is better than most full rides to other schools depending on player wants. The reason for such an attitude like this is simply a freshman coming in and starting at UA right now or even finding the field is slim to none. So why not greyshirt, go through the spring and fall workouts, to get accustomed to college life in itself and then work your way up the depth chart. I understand where you are coming from as many other colleges negatively recruit and use our depth chart against us. The funny thing is these other colleges claim playing time and less depth and come fall those freshman still don't see significant or any playing time to say the least.
