Not to be a downer, but I would not count on Hightower returning. He wanted to go pro last year.

There are a lot of assumptions here, which is why most people think we will see a drop off on defense. The good news is that a "drop" from one of the best defenses in history should still be a damn good defense. But if all your assumptions are correct (BTW - I wouldn't write off Vinnie sharing p/t with HaHa, if he doesn't beat him out) then we will have a spectacular defense, IMO

Why do people say ridiculous things such as "If Hightower comes back....." or "Do you think Trent is staying (heard that twice on Finebaum this week)?" These juniors have given so much to this football team, and if the money is there for them, then they should go to the league. I feel like sometimes people selfishly would rather see these guys return than make money in the NFL.

I want what is best for Bama's team, being a Bama fan. I want every junior we have to return, most of all TR. Will it happen? No. Do I wish for it? Hell yes. I think TR, Dre and DH will all go, but I don't think Dre and DH are absolute certainties to leave.

We can say what we want about our LBs for next season, but if DH leaves we will lose two of our best pass rushers. I think Dickson and Hubbard will come along, but there may be some drop off in that area.

I think he's gone and I think he's gonna make a bigger impact on the next level. He seems to be getting faster and stronger.
