They put two long drives on us. Ran the ball down our throats. We had one completed pass on offense. And several 3-and-outs. Statistically it wasn't even close.
We were on the ropes, no doubt about it. They were a play or two from putting the game out of reach.
As Saban said in post game. You can either think you were lucky and not realize you got your ass kicked, or you can improve on those mistakes. The first step is admitting you got dominated for much of the game and to never let that happen again. We still won, but we faced a lot of adversity doing so. Champions find ways to win.

Disagree. Our O-line held its own and actually out performed LSU's d-line. The O-line couldn't help that the passing game was not clicking. Only one sack given up and an average of 6 plus yards per carry. Bama actually pushed around the LSU d-line when they got a chance.

You could say that the first half was a story of two different quarters. You could say that they won the first quarter and we won the second. Call it whatever you want...but when the opponent runs 25 offensive plays to your 10 and gains twice as many yards, not to mention the wide disparity in first downs...whatever. I might not use the word dominate to describe the first quarter, but it is what it is. Yes, our defense did a good job of holding them to three points. I don't understand why some fans get so defensive when people suggest that we got outplayed in certain stretches of the game.
If the shoe was on the other foot, and we had narrowly lost a game where we had gained 100 yards more, had the ball 20 minutes longer, lost an onsides kick because of a fluke bounce, and seen our coaches make some highly questionable decisions, how would we describe the comparable play of the two teams? I think we know the answer, because we've seen something similar play out here before. People have varying opinions about what they saw. Funny how that some seem to get so defensive about that.

If you trail 14-3 at the half, you didn't dominate anyone
