Mountain Brook just won state with a bunch of 6'3 guys, if that tells you the pool of talent that Grant is having to work with in this state right now...

Like I said before, what prevents CAG from recruiting out of state? Is there a wall around Alabama preventing travel to recruit players from other states? Give me a break.

So we can go to other countries to pick up Engstrom and Retin, but going to other states in the US is to hard? Come on, that just a weak argument.

the fact that the original post has 73 upvotes makes me sad for our program :( we don't even recognize deficiencies when we see them. No wonder our program is mired in mediocrity..

Booms, that was his response to someone trying to give Grant a pass on recruiting due to the state talent being down. Of course Grant is recruiting out of state, keep his response in context to what the poster was responding to.
